			- 500g chuck beef, cut into chunks
- 2 large onions, cut into wedges
- 250g chestnut mushrooms, halved or quartered
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato purée
- 300ml beef stock
- 2 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp cold water
Instructions
- Slice the onions and prepare the mushrooms.
- Place onions at the bottom of the slow cooker and layer with mushrooms and beef chunks.
- Mix Worcestershire sauce, tomato purée, garlic, and beef stock. Pour over meat and vegetables.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until beef is tender.
- 15 minutes before serving, stir in the cornflour slurry and cook uncovered to thicken the sauce.
- Stir gently and serve hot with your choice of side.
