Description

This easy One-Pan Baked Ziti is the best quick dinner idea when you want something simple cozy healthy-inspired and comforting. Packed with tender pasta rich meat sauce and melted cheese it’s perfect for weeknights gatherings or meal prep. A quick and simple family favorite to save!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces ziti or penne pasta
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet and drain excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes diced tomatoes Italian seasoning salt and pepper.
  4. Add uncooked pasta and stir to coat.
  5. Simmer until pasta is tender adding water if needed.
  6. Dollop ricotta on top and gently swirl.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan and bake until bubbly.
  8. Let rest before serving.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Use Italian sausage instead of beef for more flavor.
  • Add broth if pasta absorbs too much sauce.
