Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape into oval patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in skillet; sear patties on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add butter and onions to skillet; cook until soft and golden.
  5. Sprinkle in flour; cook for 1 minute, whisking.
  6. Gradually add beef broth, whisking to form smooth gravy.
  7. Return patties to skillet; simmer 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
